With the rise of Industry 4.0, the use of new technologies, automatization and advanced manufacturing has spread to the agricultural sector, increasing productivity, reducing environmental impact, and improving product quality. Mexico is the world's leading producer of berries. Jalisco, for six consecutive years, has been positioned as the largest food producer, which is why agriculture, specifically horticulture production, has represented an economic and social impact, for being innovative and sustainable agriculture. The State of Jalisco produces 76% of the national production of raspberries and 46% of the national production of blueberries. The research is exploratory and aims to show the exporting performance in berry production, highlighting the development of technological capabilities and the competitiveness of berry exporting companies in the State of Jalisco.
